Introduction
Tamarin is a Points of Light-based campaign setting for the 4th edition of Dungeons & Dragons. As such, the rules of the world will not differ greatly from those presented in the Core Rulebooks (Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide and Monster Manual). Any changes will be explained in the house rules page. When emphasized, Tamarin refers to the setting as a whole, and not the human empire of the same name.

Overview
The world of Ellil is ancient. Few can claim to know just how long it has existed, nor how long its surface has been inhabited. What recorded history exists goes back approximately 16,000 years, but even that number is a guess. The past is shrouded in mystery, and the mists are parted slightly by the relics of Abzu-Kur, the ancient empire of the dragonborn Skeksis.
