This just totally blew my mind. Apparently we were able to detect a sugar molecule from 26,000 light years away, using a radio telescope in France.
The discovery has big implications on the search for extra-terrestrial life. Also, our first inter-galactic explorers won’t need to pack any Splenda with them, I guess.
